Beginning with 1970s Socialist Yugoslavia, Uro?Cvoro explores the cultural and political paradoxes of turbo-folk. Taking as its starting point turbo-folk's popularity across national borders, Cvoro analyses key songs and performers in Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia.
