The sacred truth is, when a natural disaster occurs, it's absolutely without consideration for human life or feelings. It's therefore our responsibility as humans to keep up... not the other way around. This is a reality our ancestors understood very well and used as a basis for inventions in African Spirituality. It wasn't a negative mindset... they were simply using the worst of nature as one dimension among multiples for understanding and projecting aspects of the human experience, for survival. Gordon often wondered what it would be like to live in ancient Puri. Later in life, he would interact with other key players in the modern-day story and evolution of Puri, further understanding the lives of its ancient people within a traditional setting that helped enrich his perceptions of an integrated physical and spiritual realm of multidimensionality.
