These 27 books make up two series. The first series covers the War years, from 1939 to 1945. The second covers the Baby Boom years from 1946 to 1965. To get the material for the books, the writer, Ron Williams, worked his way through newspapers, magazines, books, and other sources day by day until he came up with most of the major events and ideas, and trivia, of those years. This is not just confined to the oldies who lived through those years, but it extends to the younger generations who wonder at the amazing pace of life, and the enormity of unfolding events, and the depth of heroism and courage almost beyond belief. The book itself is printed on quality paper with a celloglazed buff cover, and Perfect Bound for durability. It is printed in black-and-white, and in the style of the newspapers of those earlier days, including photos that are sometimes pretty crappy. It is an ideal gift for oldies birthdays. Nostalgics will love it. People will actually read it, and then pass it on.
